Australia’s cyber threat: How organisations are responding

Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced in mid-2020 there had been ‘sophisticated, state-based cyber attacks’ on Australia and a marked increase in cyber threats. While this certainly got government organisations and C-suites talking, industry experts agree there is no new news here – organisations have and will always face the imminent threat of a cyber attack. That said, a renewed focus and heightened awareness on cyber security helps CIOs and other industry insiders to argue for better technology, internal education and stronger security postures.
